E-Force new lid height

Hello everyone - I am looking at the updated E-Force lid for my LS3 build.

Does anyone have a height measurement of the new style lid?

I have the old lid currently - got a taller hood - and have more room now.

FYI - this isn't for a Camaro - but I have found several great threads on Camaro5 about the E-Force and figured I'd ask here for the help.

Thanks!

E-Force

I have the new style on my 14 1LE. It fits under the strut brace with no problem. It was so close though I machined some spacers to raise the bar about 1/4 inch. I don't know what you are putting it on but I bet you wont need a taller hood.

Or you could get the edelbrock crap logo machined off, have lid ceramic caoted for heat resistence and add a phenolic spacer (1 inch)

Have you noticed any changes by adding the phenolic spacer?

Lowered IAT's about 10 degrees across the board.

Interesting. Did you just do it on the cover, or did you add them between the supercharger and the heads?

Between both the heads and the supercharger. Kinda like a phenolic sandwich. LOL. After that I installed a interchiller which significantly reduced IAT's.

I had it made at work on CNC machine. Material was about $275. 1" phenolic. I put lowered motor mounts on to fit everything under the hood.

I see you are in Menifee. I'm in Murrieta. How can I get my hands on one of those spacers?
