Those of you running this kit, when purchased from Magnuson direct, did the tuner arrive after the kit? I have ran through my packing list and do not see a tuner in here. Step 1 of the install states to use the handheld to upload the tune.

I'm assuming the X4 ships by itself and has not shown up yet.....waiting on a reply from Magnuson.

I bought from RDP and didn't get a tuner or CARB sticker. Contacted RDP, and they contacted Magnuson. The tuner and sticker were overnighted the next day.

Thank You. Thinking i'm in a similar situation. This kit was actually ordered from Summit, shipped directly from Magnuson. Will contact Summit in the AM to get it sorted out, says on the description it comes with tuner but there is not one in sight. Going to proceed with the install over the weekend, will be easy to pop on the tune next week and fire it up once we get that sorted out.

Looks like it was just not packaged with the blower kit, Magnuson was nice enough to 2 day air ship one to my location.

Kit install went very smoothly, no major snags or concerns. Looks all pretty just sitting there waiting to be fired up .

Will post video Wed/Thurs.

Had a Maggie Heartbeat fitted in January 2018. Looks like factory fit, no issues with it at all. Long tubes and CNC heads has put me at 600rwhp and the car still drives fine in traffic, nice whine when you kick it. Had to do work on rear cradle and suspension as it does twist and flex more due to the massive torque. Great fun - highly recommended.

Any recommend tuners for this setup? The supplied maggie tune feels O.K., but seems like she's very conservative!

The I/C Setup seems to be pretty good on this thing, however I do see that about the start of 3rd the inlet air temps start to really tick up fast. You can see when it appears to run out of intercooler reserve as the temps are pretty steady from a dig until around the start/middle of 3rd gear. I'm betting a larger IC reservoir would do wonders on this. Also appears the stock fuel pump is being pushed to the limit, as the fuel pump max duty cycle is raised from 90% to 100% in the tune/FPCM settings, and the actual fuel pressure starts to suffer/fall past 4k RPM, although it is able to maintain the appropriate AFR.

I noticed the Whipple kit comes with a Zl1 pump, I had wondered if there was a specific reason. The Zl1 of this era I believe was 580 HP, whereas the Maggie kit is rated at 600, yet uses the stock pump still? Interesting.

Happy with the kit overall for sure, but as Lingenfelter's builds add in both their custom tune and fuel system upgrades, there is a lot on the table for sure with both the supplied tune and getting the appropriate fuel to feed it all with additional mods. The kit and hardware itself is very professional though, I would drive this thing anywhere without fear, all engineered very well, and there is a LOT of potential with this kit for sure.

Update.

Installed my wideband, added some longtubes, mid pipe, K&N Filter and JMS Fuel Max pump booster.

With the booster set to 50% I am able to maintain fuel pressure at 50-53 psi under WOT all the way up to the shift point. Previously, it was dropping to 38 psi by 5900 RPM. The supplied tune compensated for this it appears by commanding a richer and richer AFR (offsetting the decreasing fuel pump pressure).

Feels pretty solid locked in at 11.8 AFR and around 20 degrees timing on 91 pump/4-5 psi. Super happy with the kit, not even taxing the blower at all, in fact with the new exhaust, you can't even hear the blower whine any more.

This is most likely the best she can be until the DOD cam and springs are changed out. I'm fearful of valve float with a smaller pulley being as the stock springs are known to be weak.

I,ve heard that but just how is it worse than any other supercharger? I have a interchiller so I'm not worried. But Ford guys like them. I think it's BS.

I chose the Edelbrock E-Force S/C because it looks like it came from the factory that way. It came with a hand held tuner and was very easy to install in my garage with the help of a friend. Additions and stats below.
