Hi everyone. I checked out the general wheel/tire info before posting this, and it was excellent. However, I am completely paranoid.

I need help with tire and wheel sizes for my 2012 SS M6 (1.5" lower springs) for Street Car Takeover ATL (12.00 index class).

Thoughts on:
17 x 4.5" Race star front (92-745242G)
17 x 10.5" Race star rear (92-705253G)

M&H Racemaster Front Runner 28 x 4.50-17
M/T ET Street R Bias-Ply Tires 28 x 11.50-17

The advice I've gotten here so far has been EXCELLENT so I thought I'd ask. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

I sold my race stars because the shank lug nuts you have to use with them with the centering washers and the plastic centering rings sucked and kept galling up and stretching. This eventually caused me to break more than one stud on the car. I got tired of buying new lugs every season.

I might be concerned with clearance on your LCAs being lowered.

Thank you both for the heads up. I managed to get all 4 of the wheels for $780 shipping included. As long as I don't mount tires, I can return them for a full refund if they don't fit. Measurements say they will be ok, but you know how that goes.

I will definitely update when I test fit the wheels and then when the tires are on. If nothing else, it should be entertaining. Fingers crossed...

You won't know if there are clearance issues until the tires are mounted and car is on the ground. Good luck. BMR adjustable LSAs may be in your future.

I run that set up in 10 sec index, hooks everytime. Can't go wrong IMO

Update: Of course the front wheels fit fine. The rear wheels are tight when it comes to the ridges/bumps on the edge of the caliper. I see a little grinder action in my future...

I almost made a mistake by considering Hoosier slicks for the back. Not DOT approved, so I'd have run into an issue at Street Car Takeover. Going to order them today from Summit unless someone has another suggested source. I hope to have them mounted and check the fit over the weekend. Maybe...

Any one with skinny race stars up front have any vibration issues? my whole dash shakes 50-60+. At 100 mph feels like the wheels are going to fly off. I had them rebalanced at 4 different shops at least twice. Ive replaced rotors and pads just as a guess... I have heard from one other person having the issue and it was the race stars... want to see if anyone else has this issue before i buy a completely new set of wheels.
