Maiden voyage to the track today

Well I decided last minute to make few passes this morning. This was my first time running the car and I ended up making 5 passes total. My best pass was a 12.03 @ 118.97. I was by myself, so I didn't get any video. I'm running a 4.57 gear and love it. I go through the lights turning around 6100 in 4th. I slipped the clutch pretty hard on that 12.0 pass and really don't like it. I really think I should look into a smaller rear wheel so I can get some more sidewall. Time slip posted below. What's the smallest I can go if I change my lower control arms? I really don't want to remove the Brembo calipers though.
Thoughts?

Nice hit man!!! Looks like you got it matched up good with the gears.

What rear wheels/tires combo did you have on the car when you ran the above pass?

Yeah, what tires are you running? My RPM calculator shows that 119 mph at 6,100 in 4th gear you would have to have 30" tires.

How do you like the 4.57 gears? I bet they are AWESOME driving around. I have stock gears but my 26" tires makes it seem like I have 3.82 gears. If I ever go with a built rear I would rock some 4.11s but my 26" tall tires would make them feel like 4.55s.

Great times, I have 4.56 gears in my 71 and I can't wait to get gears installed in my 2010

Thanks! I'm running a set of the 305/35/20 MT drag radials.

Well, the 6100 was an approximate guess (may have been higher). The factory tach is not the easiest thing to read. I have to admit I was a little worried I may run out of rpm at the big end, but it never hit the limiter.
These gears make the car a totally different animal....I love em!

The smallest you can go without changing out the Brembo Calipers is 17". If you're willing to throw out the cash for Bogart Wheels, you don't even need to change out the LCA's. With the Weld RT-S Wheels, changing out (or modifying) the LCA's is good insurance against the possibility of any wheel damage.

Here's Mine (with Welds):

Gotcha, looks like you were crossing the traps around 6,430 rpms.

Just out of curiosity, what's that setup gonna run me?

Cool....that's still not bad. I knew that fat needle on the tach was above 6

The Weld Wheels are about $1900 (set of 4), Tires are about another $800. The Lower Control Arms are about $500 direct from BMR.

I think a set of 17x10 & 17x5 Bogart wheels runs about $2800 if I'm not mistaken, but don't quote me!
