That's step one of a back out for sure. Start off talking smack. Change the original race to something illegal. Next he'll be claiming something isn't right with the car. So he wont race even if he's at the same place as you!Happens all the time.

He's worried there will be a crowd at an actual strip.
Everyone knows Mustangs are attracted to crowds.

You Camaro guys act like running over a crowd is a bad thing. if you don't want to get run over. stay off the sidewalk.

Good tips from a Mustang driver. If you don't want to get hit, stand in the street where it's safe.

Cobra driver backed out. His best run was 12.5, I was running 11.7-11.9 all night playing with tire pressure and what rpm to launch from.

Figures they would back out, guess his ego might be hurt from a better driver. Some just can't take losing, bet you had some plans with that $300 right?

Debating if I want to do 3.91 and suspension first with this cam or just go gpi ported and milled heads and a ss4 vvt right away.

A lot of bad info on this thread. A proper pullied cobra with supporting mods is an 11 second car all day long. Some of the better set up ones are mid 11s trapping at 120+mph.

Sounds like the owner doesnt know how to drive/set up his car.

Btw, what is your trap OP?

His car was literally pulley only, definitely not set up right and he bought it from a previous owner as is. He also isn't launching from 5-6k like most cobra guys do.

I trap 117, still have 3.27 gears.

I see. Guy sounds like a noob.

Get some 3.91's or 4.10s on that thing!

Thanks for posting.
