That's step one of a back out for sure. Start off talking smack. Change the original race to something illegal. Next he'll be claiming something isn't right with the car. So he wont race even if he's at the same place as you!Happens all the time.

Cobra driver backed out. His best run was 12.5, I was running 11.7-11.9 all night playing with tire pressure and what rpm to launch from.

A lot of bad info on this thread. A proper pullied cobra with supporting mods is an 11 second car all day long. Some of the better set up ones are mid 11s trapping at 120+mph.
Sounds like the owner doesnt know how to drive/set up his car. Btw, what is your trap OP?
