L99 guys with stall and maggie
Alright guys Im going to the track friday to try my new setup!
I have ls3 conv.circle d 3200 stall and maggie and 18'' zo6 rims with nitto nto5r 305.bmr trailing arms. Been searching looking for advice on launching a stalled auto with maggie! Are yall launching from idle or running rpms up? Thanks |

I don't have a Maggie, but I run a 3200 stall.
I would probably start down near idle and see if your tires will hook. If they hook up from idle, then move your rpms up a little and see what happens. I'd move up to around 1k rpms or so at first (nothing drastic). Then you can continue to raise your rpms until you can't hook up anymore or your times are not improving. I run 20" NT555Rs and they hook okay, but not great. I usually have to launch down near idle. When I try to launch at 1K rpms or higher, I blow the launch with too much wheel spin. In my case, the higher the launch rpm, the greater the chance of blowing the launch. I'm in need of a better wheel/tire setup to handle my setup (which is just bolt ons with a FTI 3200 stall). Good luck. |

Does it hook up at the Stop sign if you thump it? Probably not......
Can you start in 2nd gear? If not try to get there ASAP. This is with an eforce....you're most likely making more power. Good luck...... Post the video ..... I want to see your burn out. Wear a helmet. |

Preload it a bit (like to 1500rpm), then "roll into it" as traction allows.

Leave off idle or invest in a 2step for consistent launches. I set my 2step @ 1k on my 2800 stall. Anything higher and it pushes through or blows the tires away. Tons of instant down low torque

I just can't seem to "roll into it" ever since getting my FTI 3200. I've tried and tried, but my engine/rpms act like I've basically floored the gas and I'm running wide open. When I was running the stock converter, that's how I always launched (rolling into the gas). That method worked great for getting the tires to hook, especially when I was still running the stock tires. Some of my best 60' were with a gentle roll into the gas. With the converter, I still roll into the gas to launch (from idle). But as mentioned, my car just screams off the line and some times the tires hook and sometimes I just light up them up. But I'm also running 20" NT555Rs with little sidewall. A better drag radial may solve my problem. |

Did you pull any weight out? Passenger Seat? Rear Seats? etc. Is that what you expected? Did you do a monster burnout. Where is the video? |

Where is the VDO? Tell your buddies to shoot an HD VDO and put it on youtube.
How much fuel do you run with? Do they sell 105 at the track? At least take out the passenger seat....and the subwoofer in the trunk |
