Almost at 12.5
Ran the track at MIR today. I hit my personal best 12.614 (targeting 12.59).
So far, my only performance mods are a Vararam and Hushpower Axle back exhaust. It's going to take a more consistent and faster R/T plus some better shifts but I KNOW I can pull of the 12.5! |

With a better 60', 12.5's should be a breeze.

R/T wont effect your ET. Clock doesn't start until you do you. R/T only determines at what point you can leave without a red light. Nice times though.

Awesome times man. Those bolt-ons made a big difference. Do you have a video with how the exhaust sounds? I was thinking about getting the same setup.

I looked it up, the DA was a negative - 748 ft. So the conditons were excellent for fast times (cool air and high pressure). I would guess he would have run 12.8s (bone stock). His axle back won't give him any HP and the Vararam is probably good for .2. Overall excellent run. |

Honestly, the biggest thing for me was just learning more about prep. I hadn't adjusted my pressure on prior runs and I was launching with the RPMs way too high so there was a lot of spinning and some wheel hop going on. Just 2 weeks before this run, I ran a best of 12.8 and was pretty disappointed. Last edited by hysonmb; 03-26-2012 at 09:25 PM. |
