Mustang owners are kicking themselves (not because of the Camaro) but because the 2010 Mustang's interior is a million times better than the previous iteration, and the 2011 Mustang GT will have 400hp. Maybe they should have waited!

My point is this: the 2010 Camaro isn't perfect, and no doubt GM is going to improve the quality of the interior in a few years, and probably release the Z28 and probably the version after this will also look hotter and have better features. For example, barely a year later and the new Camaros have backup sensors, and in June 2010 there's an HUD. Do you wish you waited a few more months?

What's your opinion on all this? I'm justifying buying the Camaro (still waiting for mine) because I'm a nostalgic fellow and I'm likely to keep my car "forever". Therefore it's worth spending more on this car rather than perpetually upgrading sedans (because I get bored of them after a while). I figure it's best to just buy a cheap but practical sedan (and accept that I will get bored of it) and spend a bit more to get an additional fun and hot car (Camaro) that I will keep much longer (therefore I don't care about upgrading the sedan because it's not my "hot" car, thereby saving money - see buying a Camaro is fiscally prudent! ;-) ).

However, am I going to kick myself when another iteration gets released with much nicer interior or hotter looks/features in a few years time? Or do you think this version is special in some way, maybe because it has been immortalized by the Transformers movies?

What's your view?
I have too disagree with that. I love the interior of my 09 and I would'nt trade it for the new one if you paid me.

Basically, a new year always brings the promise of added features and bugs ironed out. But unless you can afford to buy a new car every year, at some point you have to bite the bullet and say, "Okay, this car, right now."

I, for one, am happy that time is now for me.

I had the pre 2010 mustang and the 2010. the interior in the 2010 is way better than the old one if you get the upgraded one. I think a lot of people are looking at them on the lots ,and the dealers aren't getting to many with the upgraded interior. And, that is why they think their not that great. But, the ones with the upgrade look very high end.

I am extremely happy with my 2010 camaro and being the first year of the 5th gens makes it special.

You can't live by that rationale... Like others have said, something better will come out each and every year. You'll have the hot ticket (like we do now) and guess what? There'll be a hotter ticket next model year. Kinda like computers and cell phones... Technology and cars are constantly getting better and better. Unless you have GM's roadmap for future vehicles/options, get the Camaro and be happy no matter what may come out the next year, no regrets.

...Unless you've got a lot of disposable income, at which point I'll take your hand-me-downs.

It drives me crazy the way the f 'ed the back end up. I did see someone came out with an aftermarket bumber cover that can be paint, that makes it look much better.

Just like the latest version of a computer or the software. Its replacement is being created as it is being released.
If you played the waiting game, you'd never have "it"...whatever "it" is.

Go enjoy and never look back.
