Ssshhhh....don't tell my car is can't handle these things, as I contend with all three on my daily commute. In fact, it seems to handle all those things just as well as my 2006 GTO with IRS did.
Let's come up with a new type of test. We will put a couple small potholes on some twisties and get some test drivers who have never driven these roads to drive the curves as quickly as possible. We'll have some in a SRA GT and others in an IRS car. We'll see who bounces off into the ditch the most when one wheel hits the puthole.

It's a fact of life... I lived with the SRA of 3rd and 4th gan Camaros (arguably the best SRA setup ever made) and a couple of pieces of loose gravel or a small stick laying in the road on a sharp corner could give you a serious case of butt pucker if you hit it at speed.

You typically don't find these obstacles on a track, but in real life they tend to crop up.

3rd and 4th gen camaros were pieces of shit and everyone, even Chevy people know that. a 3rd gen camaro had a suspension so stiff that if you ran over a penny youd feel it.

as for "best SRA ever made"...is this a joke? are you serious?

by piece of shit, i mean the cars themselves...the LS1 was/is an outstanding motor. hell, so was the 3.8 V6. too bad they couldnt put it in a better package.

and before yall start bellowing about how i drive a mustang...i owned both a 3rd and 4th gen Firebird and Camaro so i have experience with them both.

it was through their Gallop poll, a survey they did among Mustang drivers, that they learned that the majority of Mustang drivers, both past and future, WANTED a solid rear axle.

So if less than 1% of that poll wouldve voted solid axle i seriously doubt Ford wouldve even considered a solid axle. its what we, the past and future mustang buyer, wanted. im VERY happy Ford went with it and hope they keep it.

why did so many people convert their IRS mustangs to stick axles? becuase it sucked.
Actually, your logic is quite flawed.

The survey in question stated that IRS would cause the price of the car to go up and they were asking if people would be willing to pay extra for the IRS and they voted "no".

So, what I conclude from this survey is NOT that Mustang people didn't WANT the IRS, I see it more as proof that they are cheapskates.

Isn't it cool how surveys can be made to sound like something they are not???

i must concede defeat. you have me. youre right!!

i mean you guys are shelling out what? $600-800 for a gear swap into your precious IRS?

i spent $375 for my gear swap in my lowly solid axle car. cheapskate...guilty as charged.
