Good sounding Exhaust ideas?
Hi everyone! so i have a 2012 2LT 45 edition. Ive done a lot of work to it already (look wise) but i just cant stand the way it sounds. I want to upgrade the exhaust asap. I just want to know if any of you guys have any ideas on loud sounding exhaust.

You will get an opinion for every kind of exhaust out there today. And since I was first to respond I will say MRT 2.0 axle back. The most popular axle back for our V6.
Another good option is take a look at this thread and start listening to all of them. Good Luck. Let us know what you decide. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104

What he said. It really depends on what sound you want. Do you want really loud, rather loud all the time or louder but still relatively quiet at cruise? What sort of tone do you want to your sound? And then there is the issue of drone which some can't stand & others are not bothered by. Try to get a chance to hear as many as you can in person & listen to videos with headphones for a better idea. Apex Chase is a great one to talk to as he is good at listening to what you want & matching you up with the right system for you & getting you a great price on it. Here is a clip of mine. It is a Borla. It is louder on start-up, WOT & accelleration but still quiet at idle & cruise. Very little drone if any.

Mine is a 1LT manual, and I have the Borla axle back. LOVE IT.

I have Pypes full SS catback that I absolutely love. Has a great rumble, sounds really mean at WOT. While on highway at 70 can barely hear it. No drone.
I done have a close up video of it, but heres me running at Rockford Speedway in Rockford, IL. You can get a decent sense of how it sounds.

SOLO MACH X EXHAUST
I love love love this exhaust. It sounds amazing. It's $900 but worth every penny. I also have their HFCs installed. The HFCs made the tone a little deeper but mainly just added power. See my build thread for a full review and links to videos.

Our top two sellers for the LLT/LFX crowd is the MRT V2 axleback (great sound out of an axleback) and the Solo Performance catback. We have had nothing but great reviews out of both systems. Pairing the Solo catback with a set of high flow cats is a great way to get a bit more sound and power out of the combo. |

Love my MRT V2, one downside is my gas mileage has taken a severe hit. I can't keep my foot out of it!

If you are willing to shell out the money the Corsa catback is awesome. Every run I go on I get compliments on how it sounds and many have told me "best sounding V6" they ever heard. Benefit is it is very quiet while cruising but will wake the neighborhood when you are at WOT. I wouldn't go any other way if I had to do it again...just be prepared to pay for it.

I vote for the MRT V2. It screams at 4500+ and rumbles at idle. I would post my video but haven't put on the laptop yet.

Check out the Ark N-II exhaust! It's super aggressive, super loud and looks awesome.
It's stainless steel with slanted tips. It's one of the more expensive exhausts, but it's also higher quality. I have it on my car and its insanely awesome. Costs around 1400 but I got mine for 899 in september with a sale they have. If you contact them and tell them you're on camaro5 they'll probably give you a discount as well. Just youtube search Ark N-II. In my opinion it's the best sounding exhaust you can get for our v6. If it's out of your price range, my second choice would be the MRT exhaust. That also sound really good, but the Ark sounds better in my opinion. It is also a catback and looks better. You can't go wrong with either of those choices, but the Ark may give you a bigger grin when you start the car and when you punch it
