Question GM GFX Rear Diffuser?

So I'm picking up the diffuser this weekend for my car. Excited, as I think it looks amazing with the square exhaust ports.

I was curious whether anyone else has put just this part (No side skirts or front splitter) on their car and how it looks. If you have pics of the rear with the diffuser (even with the full GFX kit) post 'em up so I can see!

I also don't think my exhaust tips are going to fit in it, and I'm afraid I'll have to cut them off. Anyone else done this? Does it change the sound at all to take off the tips? I have an MRT 2.0.

Thanks all!

You don't HAVE to have the square tips. I always thought they made the pipes look smaller since its a square inside a square. I kinda like the size of my round THR pipes inside the squares.

If you want a pic beyond whats here in my sig...let me know.

I don't think my MRT tips will fit inside the squares, will they?

Thanks for the pic... man, I think that looks fantastic

I wasn't going to buy square tips. I was just going to cut my tips off.

What size are your tips? I believe mine are 4" and they fit in there. I believe it took Rick/Bob (THR) a little effort, but they fit and have no ringing issues.

Only con....tips have to come off before bumper can haha

Glad my exhaust is bolted on

I have the MRT v2.0... if I am not mistaken the tips are 4"... they might be 4.5 though. Don't have a measuring tape..

What do you mean bolted on?

Also, you'll have to measure that. Good luck!

Don't think I've seen it yet where one has only the OEM kit rear diffuser on.

If you buy the GM kit they include square tips but buying only the diffuser I don't think they are included.
It's the whole kit that this diffuser is coming off of. It was installed on someone's car. I get the rear, and my friend gets the side skirts and splitter.

I mean I clamped on the exhaust; didn't weld it. So I'll just remove it when we go to install the diffuser.

Right on! Yeah I've seen more than a few cars do this. And obviously have seen only the front splitter on, but never just the rear diffuser. I'm sure it's been done...I just haven't seen it yet. Might look cool.

You really don't own a ruler?
I honestly don't own a ruler and there isn't one at my office.

Just looked it up and the tips are 3.5".

Oh, mine are also. That's why they are removable when I need them to be.

A friend here have the same set up and same idea, this is what he said about it.... "Mrt ver 1 uses the AR25 on that link.
I even think the AR30 on that link is the MRT Ver2 also.
I put double walled 4 inch tips on the back of mine too. they look good but iam cutting they out because i just got a GM GFK kit"
Hope that help you a little...
