forgive the dumb question(s), but...
I'm new to this whole thing...so what exactly is this Camaro5 Fest that I'm seeing here? It appears to be a weekend of drag racing and autocross, so that much I've gathered.
I'm in Houston area. Figured it'd be fun to get out and run on the strip a time or two, since I've never done that...would I need to register to do that? Outside of that, is it just a bunch of vendors and hot Camaros running around? If it's just a weekend of goodness, and there is anyone that's going to be bombing out from W. Houston area that Saturday, let me know, and I'd be happy to roll with. I'm near Hwy 6 and 10..... |

Autocross as well. Most of us are anything BUT pros. Just want to throw it around in a safe and fun forum. The hotel parking lot is the funnest part of all. Whether you drink or not it's a blast hanging with everyone and having fun. Vendors are friendly and helpful and lot's of ideas and stuff for your car. Plus the car show is really cool. Of course the parking lot at night is like a big car show anyway. hahaha For me and Bonnie it's the funnest event all year. You can't go to this and NOT have fun. 100.00 get's you unlimited racing and entrance for one driver. 20.00 extra per person. If you don't race at all it's only 20.00 per person. All this being said I have not looked into it yet. I"m going by the norms as far as price. Last edited by PQ; 03-18-2014 at 02:07 PM. |

PQ summed it up pretty good. It's a fantastic event to go to for any Camaro owner / enthusist.
Also since you're in Houston, you should check out the Houston Camaro Club, we're the hosting club for C5 fest this year. If you hang out with us or come to the meetings you can learn more about C5 fest.

This sounds like a wicked good time.
Now I just gotta convince my wife to relieve me of kid duty that Saturday so I can make it out. Might see if I have the time to take Friday off, too, but pretty sure I don't...either way, I should be out there that Sat! Gonna register soon Thanks for the info, folks. |
