Neither company has announced the release date yet. Sony will announce the PS4 release date at Gamecom in Germany which is being held between Aug 22-24. It is unknown when Microsoft will announce their but my guess is at the same convention since it is the last big convention this year. Both consoles will come out the first 2 weeks of Nov, we just don't know what date yet.

I agree with this...When it comes to gaming Yahoo articles are about as useful as used toilet paper. Worth just as much too

I'm still pulling for a Nov. 5th release date of the X1, maybe both systems. Big titles release Oct. 29th and Nov. 5th. It wouldn't make sense to me for Microsoft and Sony to wait for too long after the release of major titles to roll out the new systems.
