As I worry about my V6 LLT blowing up:

Can we get, and should I bung in, this Elixir of Life into my Power Plant?

In my experience its better to use a intake cleaner to get right at it,you need to be cleaning the crap from the valve ports, that stuff just mixes with the fuel which won't get to the nub of the problem,if indeed you even have one. Some sort of breather separator may be better, keep the oily sticky mess of the intake system.

I do have a catch-can :-)

I put it on at about 14,500 after I bought the car that had 13,250 on it.

What 'easy' inspection could I do?

The Oil itself is always good and clear.
Oil changed every 3,000 or less :-O

Thanks,

I work with very large-displacement engines in the day job James (albeit, diesel ones) and in thirty years have never found a 'special additive' that boosts either economy, emissions or power without some form of penalty. If the gear was that good, manufacturers would be recommending you buy the stuff at service intervals or selling it at dealerships. BlownSS is right; better to treat the incoming stuff for recirc crankcase fumes, etc etc. I'd (personally) save my brass and buy more horses. Just my two pennies' worth...

If you can sneak a look at the port you can see if any carbon build up. If there is anywhere you can get a flexi inspection camera in and see ,otherwise it is remove inlet manifold, or find something else in life to worry about ! Having a good quality catch can will help prevention for sure.
