2010 Camaro timing chain starting

So my 2010 Camaro just started P008 and P009 codes showing the need for a timing chain. At 125,000 miles. I have a couple questions.
1. I was quoted 1,600 out of my pocket for breakdown of the engine to see if my Waranty company ( Endurance) will cover the Timing chain repair. Does this sound right to you guys? Timing chain is listed in my Waranty book as covered but I was told they will probably challenge the repair. Does 1600 for just the breakdown sound right?
2. I'm getting a p0017 code with the P008 and P009. Does this code usually set because the chain has the timing just off, or is there really an issue with the crank sensor that will requir the engine to be pulled?

Yes it's an LLT V6. Is it normal for the P0017 to pop up with P008 and P009? I don't want to go through the whole timing chain replacement only to find the pressed on crank sensor is bad.

I did not get the P0017 code when my chains started acting up. Just P007. At 105k.

Left bank , and right bank timing chains. The ECU ( computer ) is checking the time , and position, the gears , controlled by the chains, compared with each other.
Tear down to check it ? They are stretched.

There is a GM document https://f01.justanswer.com/cameronte...6c2_116800.pdf
Apparently the reluctor for the crankshaft sensor has the possibility of moving and throwing those codes.
