They are called posers, someone trying to appear something they aren't. Usually out of envy! It's one thing to make a car look like a ZL1, but to put badges on that is another.

He has a clone car which is nothing wrong with that. As long as he does not sell it off as a zl1 then no harm. Maybe he couldn't afford a zl1 but made one. Nothing wrong with that.

HOW TO FIX 2010 Recaro Airbag Light Issue

The way to get around the 2010 airbag issue is this: On the passenger seat on the l/h rail is a sensor held on with one Philips screw. It has 2 light blue wires going to it. You need to transfer that sensor. There's even a screw and locating hole provided in the same spot on the new seat base. The '11 up cars do not have that sensor. They have a orange to blue circuit loop that goes to the seat belt sensor. On the 2010 cars the blue wire splits and creates an additional circuit loop including the sensor. You simply need to splice into the blue wire, incorporate the sensor and then put the pin in the corresponding point on the plug. If you look at your original seat plug it'll be clear; there's one extra blue wire pin. That's the one coming from the sensor loop. I'm one vacation but when I get back I'll draw up a schematic, but if you look at the new plug vs the old it's pretty self explanatory. |

Seats are available just a logistical snafu getting the whole order process set-up i hear. They are here on the shelves:/ Still kinks to work out on the GM side. Nothing to do with RECARO so I'm in the dark as well.
