They left two fasterners and the pulley shim out of the box, I called to ask if they would sell me the missing parts, answer was no.

Save your money.
Do you remember who you talked to? Not at all the responses I've gotten when I talked to them. They even followed up months later when they could have gotten away without it.

The FAST intake was great for 97-2000 LS1 engines even in stock form as it increased power quite a bit but our LS3 intake is much, much better than the LS1 intake.
The tests were on an 100% stock set up. As soon as you start adding other things, you start adding variables which negate a lab test (which is what these tests were from/for). It was even across the range in increase with no practical variation (peak or dip) which would have increased tuning time.

I will need to double check if they wanted these results released and then get back to ya. It may have sensitive info (names, etc).

I'll go back to what I said. If you're stock, it's a gain, but it's your opinion if "its worth it." Can you get similar gains for less effort, less $$ sure? But if you want a better, aftermarket intake, and plan to do a power adder, or some mods that increase the velocity of air through the engine (cams, heads, headers, exhaust...blah blah blah), then a high performance intake makes sense.

I guess I'm surprised we're still having these discussions... some will say "Brand X" sucks, stock is better, blah blah... I go with experience. I my 30 years of modding, stock is not always better, Brand X doesn't always suck and YMMV.

No one ever said the FAST sucked. It's just been shown by multiple sources, including end users and trusted shops, to not be anything special on a stock to moderately modded Camaro. GM did a pretty damn good job making this generation Camaro in reference to intake and exhaust. There's not a ton of HP to made from either end with the exception of LT's and HFC's. The FAST may or may not give you a few HP but when you look at the price of $800+ for a 0-5whp increase, it doesn't make economical sense. Does that make the FAST a crappy intake, no. What it means is, the LS3 intake is a damn good intake for a stock to moderately modded car.

Theres plenty of testing on intake manifolfs and throttle bodies on you tube the lsxr with the stock 92mm tb will make 10 to 15 horsepower more than stoke manifold through the whole dyno pull combined with a holley sniper Efi 102mm tb it will gain another 10 to 15 horsepower and torque so in all 15 to 30 horspower and torque through the whole pull for $1200 bucks its worth the money trust me if your gonna build it build it and do it the way you want it built i highly recommend the lsxr combined with holly sniper efi 102mm tb you wont regret it

Wow! Dug up an old one didja?? lol. Now with all the aftermarket intake manifolds out there, the FAST doesn't hold up to the game much anymore for the price.

I originally bought one for my 427, it upper unit cracked as I was putting the shells together.... no way I was gonna run boost on the FAST.

Only time I recommend a FAST is if it's going to be ported and/or different runner lengths.

I wouldn’t recommend fast at all. I’ve seen too many of them crack and come apart or blow seals out. Junk especially for the money.
