"Swiffer Duster" to remove brake dust from wheels!

I don't know about you guys, but my Brembos put out a lot of dust! I think it's more visible on my car because the wheels are chromed. After I wash the car and go for short drive the wheels accumulate a thin coat of light-brown brake dust. Rather than blow them off with compressed air and get all that crap into the air, lungs, eyes and paint finish or detail-spray and wipe with a MF towel (scratch chrome finish) I have to say Swiffer is the winner. Seriously, this is awesome! It doesn't just move the dust around or imbed the dust into the wheels finish. Actually, it gently removes the dust with its amazing absorbtion abilities. I'm wondering how they would work on the paint finish.......might get pricey though.

Go to Sam's Club or Costco and stock up, guys!

Good idea. Hopefully you won't find a jealous mop lurking around your house.

Or worse...like a certain infamous purple handled car cleaner from Utah...

I bought some Swiffer Dusters yesterday. They fail the CD test miserably. Worse than the cheapet microfiber towels. bummer.

They work in the sense that they remove dust VERY well. But the material easily scratches the CD surface without much pressure. My wheels are painted, and I wouldn't use them on there either. I'm fairly certain those of you with polished wheels have a clear coat, as well. That will scratch too.
