So you've driven both 2019s then, correct? Enough to compare the two?

Well, if the new RAM drives and rides even better than the prior gen, well then I don't think the new GM twins or the Ford will be quite as good. The 2016 RAM I drove was probably the smoothest riding full size pickup I've ever driven. I know the GM full size trucks ride good also, so if the new gen is even better, than I'd say everyone wins and there are no real losers.

But yeah...I'm loving that new RAM. So much so that I had a wild thought about selling both my rides for one lol. It wasn't really a serious thought though. (that could change down the road)

If there was even a hint that GM was going to do a hot running sport Colorado or Silverado with an available crew cab, then things might get serious.

Womp womp. I mean I get the weight reduction piece over comparable trims but still.

The RAM was also easily the least capable..

1,520 payload for the v8 crew cab RAM and my F150 is 1,998..

My friend has a 2012 and I'm not sure it rides any better or noticeably than my F150, bur he also doesn't have the air suspension.. Perhaps a newer model year even though same gen rides better.. Not sure.

I'm not surprised at all with it being so early before production.

Agreed. Delete the sport bar, otherwise looks great. Offer the 6.2. Apparently the GM order guide says it's only available in LT trim with 5.3, no 6.2 or 10spd. GM swings and misses again.

Sadly, that’s par for the course with GM anymore. The Ranger Raptor is a possibility, so they better be deep inside Colorado/Canyon upgrade planning by now. Sticker packages won’t cut it anymore.

GM only does appearance packages. Every once in a while, something like the ZR2 slips out.
