Injector swap

2012 ZL1 IOM
My last tune needed to dial back the injectors. 541hp 541tq. Anything else up wise will need to install bigger injectors. Question is do I need to install a bigger fuel pump? I'm not going for 1000 hp just want to get to 600/650. Anything would help out.

Dial back the injectors?

Do ID1050x with a BAP... or better yet a DSX Aux Fuel System if you ever want to do E85

At least a BAP to assist the fuel pump voltage so you can maintain 65psi on the fuel rail. Not sure what injectors you have but if they are stock, getting anywhere near 600rwhp you will have exceeded the duty cycle.

ID 850s, DSX Fuel system , 2.5 upper, 8.6 lower, headers , xpipe no cats, cai, on mine but the fuel and the pulleys being installed. so car is not starving for gas, and future mod the E85 DSX kit. will be roughly around 620?

Dont do 850s if you are going E85 ... im at 70ish duty cycle with 1050s with 80% ethanol content... for the minimal cost increase go with 1050s and have room to grow

Cam, 23% crank pully, LTs, CAI, TB

Also the FPCM has been reprogrammed by Dave with DSX Tuning

We would recommend going with 1000cc injector if E85 is in the plan down the road. The cost difference is minimal and might end up saving you big down the road. A second injector swap/re-tune will end up costing you way more down the road.

We have several injectors that are extremely affordable and high quality.

A BAP is good insurance for the pump in the short run before you need a dual pump set up if you get that far

It was not, i will be upgrading to ID 1300 and selling my 850's :P, its for right now lol.

I didnt go BAP, because i would end up selling it and losing money a few months down the road, , Stock ZL1 pump with DSX Fuel system and ID 850's is plenty , but plan on swapping to E85 / 93 fuel flex, with 1300 Injectors and few other od ins later on, im just trying to reach goal of 800ish horsepower and be done, then cosmetics :P

Also TED at jennety mentioned that even with a BAP the system might still be starving for fuel, even at 17.5 Volts, At WOT it was running the risk and at the time i was planning on doing a 2.4 pulley but ended up going another route, RPM would high and even more fuel starved at least that is the gist of it.

Mine was though, that is the stuff done to my ZL1
