I know I really want the LS3 Camaro, but I'm bit nervous to see how I'll handle it, even if I'll have about 5 years of driving experience by then. The highest horsepower car I've driven was my dad's manual 350Z.

You better plan on 10K

The high end stuff can be up to 20K.

For a LOT less money I'm sure ... so sure in fact that I'm DOING it. I'm already building a Warhawk blocked, ETP headed 427 for my 2010. I'm willing to bet a steak dinner I make more power for less money than LPE by a LONG shot.

Sounds awsome! But don't forget the tranny! The 6L80 is rated for only 430LB-ft. You will need to do some serious work here or you will be leaving a trail of parts down the pavement.

No worries Gib, I went with the stick so a clutch should be all I have to worry about (well, that and maybe the rear diff )

To put 800 HP in context, that is more power (quite a bit with the restrictor plates installed) than any of the NASCARs will have at Daytona this weekend. You could win the race with the Pace car if you took the speed governor off the Camaro.
