Junk. Sorry but my buddy is a tech at Mazda and tells me the horror stories. I'd buy a 370z or G37 first

my last car was a rx8 r3, i thought it was a fun car. much better handing over the camaro. and a lot rarer to see on the road. it was a good learning car for me, it was a lease.

I heard those rotaries engines burn oil and the gas mileage is around the same as a camaro....with 200 less hp

I have heard it burns a ton of oil. We have more hp and get about 30 mpg. I think I will stick to my Camaro. lol

I had an 04 RX8 and it would out handle ANY Camaro, any day. You don't need mass HP when you can corner like they can. No, it's not a 1/4 mile car at all but on the twisties, I've yet to be impressed with anything in its price range.

With that said, I'd still take my camaro 100 times out of 100.

And the don't "burn" oil, they consume it. The apex seals need oil to stay lubricated. Small amounts of oil are injected into the rotor chambers to lubricate them... not burning... using.

Don't knock them till you try them out. I had 0 problems with mine... other than a moving truck didn't like the front end of it and decided to take it off.

Got a 2007 Corvette, then the SS. RX8 IMO handled the twisties where I live better than both.

they are for sure not that great of a engine coming from a owner. it is still very different. yes they burn oil or consume and you need to put oil every so often. lol

but they have crazy amount of power per liter. i mean 1.3L 232HP N/A is un heard of.
