All I can say is......put the camo back on. At least then I had hopes it would look wonderful.
I'm hoping everyone that gets an in person look at it tomorrow can convince me it's actually a beautiful car.

Yeah, they can take that question mark off the quick link for Camaro6 cause that's exactly what the car looks like. I'll try to reserve full judgement till tomorrow because I absolutely hated the refresh when they pulled the same nonsense on Michael and Kelly. When real pics and videos rolled in the next day I was in love and ended up with a 2014 1LE. I don't have as strong of a hate reaction with this "reveal" just kind of a I was impressed with the V6 exhaust note from the video. I'm not really in the the market for a sixth gen anyway so I don't have as much invested but I do hope the car is well received.

I dont care much for the looks, but the 2016 SS is allegedly running notably faster times than the current 1LE. Now that is exciting news. I cant wait to see what the higher tier models will do.

Instead of pushing emotional buttons it leaves me very indifferent.

6 speed manual? WTF? Was pretty certain the 7 speed would have made it.
Car is growing on me. Think I need to see it live and in person. Interior is not awesome but a big improvement. Would like more pics.

Ok found more better pics of the interior. Looking pretty good.
Brembo brakes on ALL models Trunk opening looks miniscule 8" programmable screen in the cluster. Base or optional? Base would be incredible. 455 HP so the "leaked" document yesterday was wrong.

I am thinking the 14-15 Z/28 value will be going up after today.

Will there be room for the 1LE middle child? The SS looks pretty track ready right now. With 455 HP and TQ as well as rev matching, 200lbs lighter and 30% stiffer it may already out perform the 1LE equipped SS... even without the mag ride.
I like where the Camaro team has gone. Any specialty model Camaros will have to be unbelievable. I want to see ring performance numbers please. |

I was hoping to save $40,000.
First very cool interior...way better than the 5Gen. Cool toys as well. However the exterior is very awkward. I don't like the protruding edge on either side of the front end. It looks too boxy. It's missing a true cowl hood, and as to the nostrils hmm...strange. The front fender appears very high and runs "straight" back into the lower window sill causing an akward lack of symmetry with the rear 1/4 panel. It makes the rear 1/4 panel appear to be hanging too low on the body. It also makes the side glass look narrow top to bottom and the door look very wide top to bottom. The rear fender looks weak not muscular compared to the wide and shapely 5Gen's. The rearend is confusing and narrow. It's a better car no doubt, however it does not have the soul of the 5Gen.

Ok, I'm settling in to the fact that I badly want to see one in person.
But to be clear, this car will have every bell and whistle. Noted that there is a heated steering wheel on the car. Wow! Trunk space looks to be a concern. I think they've all but given up on a rear seat. Porsche like? This may be the Camaro I need to own. As you guys know I've driven a whole bunch of GM provided company cars over the years. And frankly a 5th gen wasn't getting my $$. Mrs. Number 3 hated driving them. Too big and poor visibility. Hopefully this is a car she can also love and want to drive. I also see the cost for a fully optioned car going up considerably. Again, just the content that isn't available today: Heated steering wheel Pretty sure side blind zone and forward collision alert. 8" TFT in the cluster. MR shocks 8 speed auto I think this may be the Camaro I spend my own money on.

Cropped from an official high res shot off the gm site. This thing is even more angular than it first appeared. Also looks like some anti collision do dad in the lower grill.

BLUE !
...and stuff. I'm pleased the look is far superior to the first impression I got from that underwhelming leak. From most angles it looks, well as they said, "MODERN". This isn't a bad thing. It looks like a new Camaro. That's good enough for me. As far as what's inside the stiffer body and under the hood, I love it. Home run, GM! The SS is the proud muscle car it should be, and THAT should equate to good numbers and happy customers. I'm SO in love with the pre-refresh 5th Gen that I seriously doubted they could even tempt me, but the total package does make me have to ask myself which is better. Coming from me, that's pretty danged amazing. And the taillights are way better than I thought from that leak. Was the "leak" a psychological ploy to make us cringe and lower expectations? If it was, then it worked. Now I want to see more. Did I mention, BLUE !!!
