Video: Flex vs PC, side by side.
Here's the video I shot earlier in the week - demonstration of the flex and the PC in action. More time was spent on the PC side than the Flex side as it takes the PC longer to break down the product. If you've been wanting a machine to polish your car with, or don't know what machine is right for you.. here's a good demo to help you decide. Special thanks to Dylan@Adam's for editing this down from almost 20min.

and not to mention......if you are using your PC on a new or fairly new car......like most of us are.....its MORE than enough machine to do the job....and a great job it will do.

That's a rotary, most people would end up damaging their paint when they use those. It doesn't have any dual action motion at all. Not a good choice unless you're a professional or you've been polishing for a long time.

All I'm saying is that it is no where near as safe as the Flex 3401 or the Porter Cable XP are.

Great comparison and really drives home the point that the flex is better suited to more serious correction... if any of you guys drive Camaros that are in as bad a shape as that Tahoe I'm going to find you and beat you senseless with your own shoes!! LOL
For paint thats in good shape and just needs a medium to light correction the PC is still the way to go... its a very capable machine. If you have some more serious work to do or just can't seem to get that last little bit of correction out of the PC to get your paint to perfect (black care owners I'm looking at you) the flex makes things much easier. |

I can't wait for spring. I've got my polishing stuff ready for then. I don't have a garage big enough to work in right now or during the winter.. :(
