I love the Injen CAI for the V6. I can honestly say I could immediately tell a difference in power. And the sound is awesome.

check out the V6 bolt-on section. You'll find alot of useful info there. I have injen, and love it. But depending on how well the vararam does, i may sell my injen. lol

On the InJen CAIs for the V6, I've heard you have to replace the factory windshield wiper reservior. Is this true? Does it come with the kit?

I had the injen installed a couple of weeks ago and noticed more response right away. The only downside is the filter is buried and hard to get to to clean.

edit: some people also purchase the hydroshield to help prevent any water from getting into the intake. it's just a netting to cover the filter.

I have Injen CAI (the long one) and love it.
Clearly more power and better MPG. Also compensates bad MPG created by exhaust mods. |

When you say more mileage, I know that driving styles are different so it will vary. That said, what kind of gains are you seeing? 5 more to the gallon? 10 more to the gallon? Thanks! |

As far as cleaning or replacing the Injen filter, I had the car on ramps this weekend for an oil change and changed the Injen filter at the same time. It really wasnt a problem at all. I used a ratchet on the screw clamp instead of trying to get a screwdriver on it and it worked like a charm. Yes, you have to replace the stock washer reservoir but that was no big deal. The kit comes with clear instructions and you wind up with a bigger reservoir to boot.
It took a couple of hours for the total CAI install.

2010 fall my car was pure stock. 19-23 MPG with mixed highway and town. After learning car better. MPG dropped 21-26. Even in winter time. * I used 95 octane 10% ethanol Now after CAI and exhaust mod I have managed to get 26-30 MPG. Same driving environment and definitely not driving most economically, because exhaust mod (Solo Mach X-LLT). *Using 98 octane 5% ethanol. +added Injection cleaner. BTW higher octane and less ethanol makes Camaro V6 run much cleaner. |

+2!
Very easy install, only took about an hour and came with everything needed, including the reservoir. When you hit the gas, you can definately hear the response from the CAI....it whistles sucking in that cold air...great mod for sure.

I did have the long tube Injen, and loved it. Could definitely notice the difference in power and sound. Now that I'm waiting for my replacement car, I'm going to install the Airaid so I will see if there is any difference in the two...
