Whatever I can do to help you get the 408 or 370 together I will.
I am just waiting on the crank at this point and the shortblock will be like new again. I am just going to sell it for what I can and build a 370 so my combo will all come together like I wanted it to. Thanks for the offer. As for now, going to show you guys what I can do with a stock shortblock LQ9. You will be impressed

wow........ paying good money for a shortblock and requested a 370ci motor why would you send out a 408ci knowing thats not what he ordered. He entrusted you guys to send him the correct engine in which you guys failed. The fact that it blew is just a blessing in disguise, since he had no idea he had a 408 which in turn screws up his whole setup which is spec'd for a 370. Now you guys are willing to do watever it takes to get it fixed after getting bashed on a public website.....should of tried harder to work this miscommunication before it escalated to this point....just my opinion. i know where i will not be buying a motor from.

I'm a HUGE fan of stangkillers build but have to play devils advocate here.

They state the invoices show it's a 408. If that's the case it should have never been installed... nevermind blown up by a shitty trans. They're offering new pistons if wanted, but I'm sure that doesn't help at all with the time frame.

I'm not trying to stir up shit and don't mean any disrespect to stangkiller, but I'd like to know the difference the 38 c.i. is going to make? It'll help spool that big ass turbo but may not rev as well I'd imagine. What rpm do you have the motor built for with the 370?

I'm anxious to see what the 6.0 is going to be good for too. Are you going to open the ring gaps for the 4 digit power level? I know you said you made over 1,000rwhp with your 4th gen.

Anyway it a beautiful car and good luck!

Ring gaps will be opened up a little. I should be good for 1100-1200 on the stock LQ9 setup. My 408 doesnt need pistons lol, it needs the correct crank, and correct pistons. No big deal, once I get it done I will have a nice 408 to sell for anyone interested. Its all together, just waiting for my crank to get back.

Pm me all the details...like parts list ..what heads were you useing? Compression ratio..
Can everything swap direct from the ls3 to the 408...I would think so, but just checking.
What is the block ls1 or whats the correct designation?

Brand new GM LQ9 gen 4 iron block
Callies Dragon Slayer crank
Callies ultra billet rods
Diamond pistons flat top 10:1 compression if used with LS3/LSA heads
ARP main studs
58x reluctor wheel

This is a direct swap with LS3/L99 in a 5th gen. I ran stock LSA heads and custom camshaft. This motor is good for a lot of hp.

AES isn't making any sense. He ask for one thing and you give him another. Keep saying he blew it up when we all I know that isn't the case.
