35ish pound difference, the 2SS has a sunroof, probably most of the weight right there.
You do realize that's gross vehicle weight ? But sure id say 35-50lbs..

I went from a Challenger Hellcat to a Hot Wheels 2SS. Two reasons, 1- hellcat insurance is crazy $266 more a month, 2 - the Hellcat handles like crape. The 2SS is great for street use. If you can spend the money on the Hot Wheels i would say do it. Really nice car. I put Borla Atack and Powerstop brakes and rotors front and rear ( BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE DUST)2 days after i picked it up and love the look and the sound. If you have to follow your pocket book you already know the answer.

I've decided I'm going to go 1SS with the 1LE, leaning towards Garnet Red
Now I just have to wait until a deal comes rolling along, no real incentives right now
Maybe as the '19 move closer

Yes.
It's the weight of the car fully loaded, so the difference remains the same as both cars carry the same load.

Did you think I believe a Camaro weighs 4550 pounds?

I've seen two in the Garnet Red, absolutely beautiful, but not many around. You have your work cut out for you.

Garnet red is beautiful, and I'm not a red guy.

Why do people tell someone this?! I have seen this answer in quite a few different threads and I really don't get it at all?? I have driven regular SS Camaro's and the handling ON THE STREET of the 1LE just cruising around is worth it alone! Mine more than likely will never see the track but I don't freaking care. I LOVE the handling and ride just cruising the highway or fun spirited driving on mountain roads. 1LE was the ONLY Camaro I considered. OP....good decision on the 1LE you will not regret it.

Because most people would say a standard ss is a better setup for street.

Everyday car = 2ss
Weekend/track toy = 1ss

Most of those options are things that just make the car more comfortable to spend a lot of time in. If you’re not going to spend a lot of time in it then I wouldn’t pay for it.

DD it for 10’s of thousands of miles = i wouldn’t even consider the lower optioned car.

While I was searching I had found a couple 1SS M6's with MRC, Recaros, and NPP. Nice light cars with some of the better option choices, but I kept coming back to the 1LE.

Totally agree. There are reasons to get the 1LE option besides tracking the car. There's exclusivity for one. Some folks just want the top of the line for another.

I've been doing one HPDE track day per year since 2007 and am planning on doing the same with my 1LE. That means 99.7% of the time I will be on public roads. It's a bit overkill, but I love cruising in it. It's just totally badass!

Those are GVWs, not curb weight.

I've posted it before in another thread but I have a 1SS 1LE and a 2SS 1LE with the same ordered options on the lot right now. Ship weights below.

1SS: 3,670 pounds
2SS: 3,679 pounds

With those kind of options, it would be almost foolish not to get a 1LE.
