Anyone actually put 1LE axles in SS hubs and drive for many miles. The slightest difference in effective axle length can really screw things up. Or if it mates up against the hub bearing differently.
True, but despite the differences in half shafts both hubs are identical other than the bearings inside. bannonm will have to update us on his install.

What exactly is a JRE Posi Mod? Details please.

New 1LE axle spewing grease

Anyone with a 1LE or using 1LE axles have any problems with the CV boot leaking grease? Just found out today after 50 miles my new axles on the driver's side outer boot is spewing grease everywhere. We can't find any cuts in the boot. It looks like the welded band just isn't tight enough to hold the boot snug on the CV. After looking at this closer, this is a pretty crappy way to do this. They basically overlapped the ends of the band and spot welded the it closed around the rubber boot.

Lingenfelter Performance sells quality 3.91 gears for the 2010-2013 SS Camaro for $249. I would imagine it also fits the 2014, but would ask before I ordered them.

An installation kit and labor (at a gear/axle shop) would run about $500.

Those are the same gears as the OEM that come in the 1LE diff. Made by AAM. They were twice that price until Chevrolet Performance started to sell them.

SUBD!
I just scored some axles rated OVER 1000 HP for less than 10 bills. Now to save for a diff.

I just noticed this for the first time the other day. I do spend quite a bit of time working in the car. The driveshaft shop has a $150 fix for this. After my next track day I will have them fix it
