I've taken one on the streets of shangrilah in my mind.....can't imagine how bad a 750-1200cc bike would leave me

Unless you bolt on a big @$$ supercharger followed by a Big Bottle of Nitrous you are not taking a 600rr and those hondas even got a power boost in 07 but either way good job showing that its not always the machine that wins.

Stock 600s can run high 10s, definitely a bad rider.

6.66 @ 109 In the 1/8 on my nothing but -1 up front and a slip on 03'R6.
10.45 in the 1/4 - can't remember the MPH - thinking 132. My 04 ZX10 went 9.63 @ 149, it was -2 +1 and stock exhaust.

You would need probably need 600hp and a helluva 60' to beat my R6 and probably 7-800+ to touch my ZX10. My best 60' on the stock length ZX10 was 1.56.

Hopefully the CBR guy was new to the game.

BTW - I weighed about 130 LBS. when I had both of these.

Look it up or do the math. Most 600 make ~100hp and weigh around 400lbs. Even with a 200lb rider the acceleration is way better than a bolt on Camaro. 10s are very achievable. And common
