Yeah never got it fixed, I got some weird email saying we don't offer the f1r for a 5th gen and any type of custom build like so i would basically be on my own. Not sure if they didn't understand what I was talking about but I even called and got basically the same response. So I just went to brute speed and got hooked up with a 12 rib conversion.

I stopped by G-Force Motorsports today just to see how things were going. They still have a few minor details to work out but all I can say is that these guys never cease to amaze me. The craftsmanship of this build is outstanding! The lead mechanic working on this project "engineered" his way around all of the obstacles encountered during the build.
They were able to get this thing installed WITH the 1300 hp race intercooler, cog drive, and all of the connecting 3 1/2" piping without cutting into anything that would compromise the integrity of the car supports or frame. I am telling you that if you saw this thing in person I think you would say it is a work of art! If someone successfully installed a similar set-up on their own without whacking up the engine bay or supports then I tip my hat to them! Enough said!!

Well, the Maggie, Rear Cog Overdrive, JRE SuperTensioner, Roto-Fab CAI, chrome intake tube, AIS Methanol Tank, Two circulating pumps, and Billet coil covers are sold to an Alabama gentleman who is about to become one happy camper when he gets that set-up installed on his car. The only difference between his set-up and my old one is that I have aftermarket heads (+35 hp), E85 conversion (+90 hp), and 12 psi (he is shooting for 10 psi, +50 hp) so I am thinking he will be in the 650 - 700 hp range when he gets it all together. Wish I was sitting in the seat next to him the first time he nails it with all of those extra horses. Perma-grin is about to grip him.
Pretty soon I will need to update my signature . Today if all goes well the monster will come to life . Probably wont go to the dyno until Mon, but I hope to have some new pics and possibly a startup vid to post. Only thing that may foil this timing is that we ordered an ATI Super Pulley (sprag) yesterday. It was a $500 part but it will help protect the belt. See, I am listening to the feedback of others that have chimed in on this build . Here is a write up on the super pulley: " The ATI Super Pulley uses Sprag Technology to release each time the blower is spinning faster than engine RPM – thus virtually eliminating belt failures when the car is pedaled at the drag strip. Also look for more boost between shifts, as the blower will not ramp down as fast as the engine during the gear change. Finally, the pulley will also reduce wear on your Supercharger by not allowing the gear drive to mesh in the opposite direction when spinning down. This pulley has been thoroughly tested and it is ready for your ride."

Sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference in the finished product. When the shop first began assessing this install they were not sure that the front crash bar would be able to stay on the car, but they just kept working with it and making tweaks until you can now see in these pics that not only does it fit back, but there is several inches of space for air to be directed right to the cooler!

Wish I could report some new pics or a vid of the startup but I have neither. The guys did stay late Friday and brought the beast to life but I heard that the vid was poor quality and you guys deserve better so I will wait until Monday to bring forward more info. Stay tuned!!!
Any one care to guess what it will dyno on the smallest crank pulley?

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...d=1496595515iv been diggin your build while building my f1-a looking sweet.I took a different approach with the huge 1300 hp intercooler.l wanted max heat transfer so now the inter cooler takes place of the steel bumper support my car is going out for tuning tomorrow

Wow my friend, I am impressed that you were able to install that on your own!! Matters not that you took a different approach. Well done!!! Looks like both of our builds may possibly finish up tomorrow, or at least be tuned. Exciting times!!

Looking good man. Sticking with the 4.11s? Plans for some slicks? or is this a 2 miler?

For now, sticking with the 4.11 but that is always subject to change. If I find that I am consistently running out of 4th gear before I hit the trap, then I will consider making a change, but unless I am mistaken, with the 4.11 it trips the dyno at 145 mph on a pull. I will verify this probably today.
I have considered slicks but think I will stick with DR's. It is nice to "run what you brung" without having to use a trailer or swapping out wheels at the track. Definitely not a 2 miler. This old man doesn't really like the high speed because everything becomes a blur at some point. I don't mind it for short (10 sec) intervals though .

Me too but the owner/tuner is tied down with other details today so tomorrow will be Dyno day and I can certainly live with that because I want his full attention when it is my turn in the hopper
Anyway, the Dyno is just a gauge. What will really matter is how my trap speed and ET changes. I am told this F-1X pulls like a freight train so time will tell

I agree, but a heck of tool for seeing changes made and how the car reacts! Did you get dyno numbers on this same dyno with the old PD setup? If so, it will show a nice comparison between the two setups.
