Ford raising prices on 2013 Mustang

http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2012/0...cing-released/

Well so much for them thinking the 2013 will give them a sales boost

Raising the price will negate that for sure...I'm sure they have to pay for the changes and I don't know what their books look like but don't expect the 2013 mustangs to outsell Camaro

Wow, I did not realize the economy had gotten better and that people all of a sudden are making a lot more money. Good luck Ford.

Yes but there are lot of things the mustang doesn't come with standard.

These guys raised the price by 1-2000 for gt they are nuts

Did it really cost that much for those new taillights that aren't that big of an improvement

Yes but look at the improvements done to the Camaro so it's worth the $350 increase.

Ford increased their prices by $1,000 with minor improvements to the GT and $2,000 to the boss 302.

Going up a few hundred dollars a year is normal, even if there re no changes to the car. Often it relates to a rise in material cost, though not always.

The one thing I noticed is that the GT500 wasn't listed. It had way more done to it than any of the others. It will be interesting to see what its new MSRP will be

Might want to break out the calculator again, the price increased by $200 for the GT premium, which is what accounts for the most sales, and the now standard HIDs are worth more than that alone.

It may affect the casual mustang buyer and it maybe enough to switch them over but I don't think a few thou means much to guys who play with GT500s....just like guys who play with Z06 and ZR1. If Ford had a more expensive sportscar, the GT500 guys would be buying that. Most of these guys void their warranty as soon as they get their GT500 home. Who cares if Camaro outsells Mustangs or vice versa. Is GM cutting you a check every two weeks?

I always LOL when people ring up sales figures. Back in the LS1 days we were king of the hill laying the smack down on all the Mustangs. All they could do was spout off sales figures and we would just LOL at them. Now the tales have turned. The Mustangs out perform the Camaros and Camaro guys are the ones spouting off sales figures.

It's quite embarrassing actually, I would rather have a better performing car than one you see at every stop light.

Premium GT model increase is only $200.

HID headlamps are standard on all 2013 Mustang models. Yes, even the base model v6 gets HID's. With that fact now disclosed, this is actually a price decrease on many configurations compared to identical 2012 Mustangs.

If you want HID's on a Camaro, it is a $1,675/$1,350 package with unnecessary equipment(oversized wheels for instance).

The Brembo package price stayed the same. The electronic package price stayed the same. The glass roof price stayed the same.

Recaro seats are available on all models now. There is a new GT manual transmission track package.

Mustang is greatly expanding its offerings.
Wow! At first, reading the OP's link, i was like... After reading this post im like... Im glad someone is here to post up nonbiased, honest information...
