Expected HP?
I plan on adding a Night Fury Cam, CAI Cold Air Intake, Highflow cats, Kooks 1 7/8 headers and a Tune to complete it. Im saving up for it. I currently have stock exhaust with Muffler delete and IT IS A L99.. Will this setup work well with it? and will i need a new exhaust? And what would be my expect peak HP and Wheel HP. Thanks all.

Good Set Up. You would be in the 470 - 480 rwhp range I would guess.

He won't be that much with a L99, that would be right on if it was a LS3. My guess would be 440 give or take at best.

Here's a link to a thread where a VVT cam change resulted in a 110whp increase.

The setup will work beautifully, NightFury is one of the more popular cams out there for a reason and litle hit your HP Range on the head.
As far as exhaust, YES. You need to at a minimum get some mufflers on it. Muffler Delete w/headers will be loud, obnoxious and raspy, throw in the cam............you will be "that guy"-not in a good way... In my opinion. If you want it subtle, slap on some Dynomax VT Axleback and call it a day, they are like $300 and sound amazing cammed ( I had it ). If you want more aggressive but tolerable, the StainlessWorks Retro-Chambered is Phenominal! (I have it) lol. -Switched when I got Supercharged... First video is Cam/Headers/HF Cats and DynoMax VT Second is Cam/Headers/HF Cats/ECS SC and SW RetroChambered Good luck, hope it helps. |
