Was looking at an article in the latest Camaro Now magazine yesterday. Saw that there was a car that a guy had where he'd swapped in V6 rear brakes, made some modifications to a rear control arm, and was able to bolt on a 15 inch rear wheel. He was also lowered 1 inch. Absent from the description is anything stating the need for specially machined brackets, etc. The details were certainly limited, mainly since there were no pictures available to see the inside hull area of the rear wheels.

My questions now are, why is there a need for a kit to put a 15 inch wheel on? And, might someone have a few images of what this guy may have modified to clear 15" rear wheels?

There are quite a few cars with this mod on here. 15" means a lot more sidewall and great for drag racing. V6 brakes are standard with 15" wheels

Pm Rhino79, he has done this exact thing and I believe is selling a kit to run a 15" wheel with a modified V6 caliper and modified stock suspension parts.

Rhino79 just did this a couple weeks ago at work....it was a pretty extinction process, sort of. Wayne DeSellems is our in house fabricator and he had to do a bunch of cutting and grinding but it ended up working out

Yeah, Im testing the setup on mine right now. Basically we modded the stock control arm and trailing arm, V6 brakes with CNC machining to give us the clearance. Setup to run 15x10 weld rts wheels.

Did you have to CNC the spindle to make it work? Also was you able to keep the stock E-brake?

I didn't have to mod the spindle. Brake cable is on, but it's tight.

Best and easy way is to call your dealer or go on GMPartsDirect and you can find every GM part number for V6 brakes
