I change it in the spring after winter storage...doesnt matter about the mileage. It's not a DD.

5w-30 Mobile-1 extended -w- extended oil filter. Once a year just before winter storage. I only put about 5,000 miles a year on my Camaro.

Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic extended performance Mobil 1 filter in all my only Chevy vehicles. Change the Camaro every spring no matter what the mileage is. That is 6 months of driving.

I've always changed mine every 2,500 miles. My truck was as strong and powerful as it was when I bought it for 16 years until I recently decided I was due for an upgrade and sold it after buying a new full size. I've also always used really good oil like Royal Purple. It's cheap insurance and I give the used oil to a friend for his waste oil heater. It may be over kill by I feel better.

I follow the oil life indicator in my 2000 Trans Am and my 14 SS. It's usually right about 5K in both cars. The TA gets an oil change once a year if I don't hit the miles. Wife's 2010 Prius is every 10K. Almost 100K miles on it now with no issues.

An oil filter is cheap insurance, there's no reason not to change it along with the oil.

I'm still wondering where the retail name brand oils come from...
Like, walmart doesnt make their oil, neither does autozone. So who makes it?? ? ??
