Dennis, I may not end up going to Sturgis now.. Not due to work load but Sunday, damn near broke my left big toe. SOB is as big as a golf ball, and my toe nail half sheared loose.

So difficult to walk and cut open a shoe to let the toe have some space.

If unable to locate, then we can try to transfer reservation to you. If you found a place, then great.

Can't recall the place I've got, but was a block away on same street as host hotel. All my info at office. Will know better by tomorrow on my situation.

So took my 67 to Karl Perf today. As before Ryan very helpful, and got a sneak peek at a project. WOW! They are building a wild, highly custom 56 Chevy Convert! (maybe it was a 55?)

Some very cool, unique features and very innovative! Not sure if allowed to say what these are, since they are working to complete for GoodGuys

Sorry about the toe, I had that happen once and damn near killed me.
Any way I made a call and I have a room in the same motel as Paul and Kathy so I'm set but thanks for the offer.

Yep, the wire wasn't even on the spark plug. Put it back on and everything is good now.

Goldknight, I like you Sig pic.

Ryan, good to hear. I have a miss every morning when I start my car and infrequently while sitting at idle at operating temps. I think I might have a wire loose or a plug not set. I will have to look into this.

For the guys local to Des Moines area. Where is a good place to get some heads and or head work done for some vortec heads or updated Aluminum heads for a Gen 0 350? Karl's Performance is the only shop I have found at this point. Your input would be appreciated.

Not really local to you but I make frequent trips to the Ames/Des Moines area. My stepdad at our shop, JD's Performance, rebuilds cylinder heads. I had a nice set of Vortecs on my 76 Camaro I just sold. He is located in Wapello, IA.

Tim: Sorry that I did not return to the track to hang with you guys...got some stuff done at home and was tied up....not in a good way!

Tim S: Careful with the toe...that is how I got my nickname in college...Big Toe. Ripped the nail off when my girlfriend accidently opened a door into my foot...ripped the nail in half. Ouch.

Check out their fender cover for Camaros. It covers the whole front. I'd think it should protect my Camaro

Indeed it is, great scenery! I've "Harley Sturgis" twice, and we rode all day (give or take the ride route) 300-500 miles a day

And our Badlands ride, was on a 90 degree day, on a hot Harley.... our balls were cooking after that - lol
