Verts with Drop Springs

I know a lot of you guys have your verts lowered. I've been researching the different brands of springs. I know Hotchkis used to manufacture a set specific for the convertible, but they do not make them anymore. I am really wanting to limit the drop to an inch or so and I think most of the kits made for the hard top will drop a but further with the weight of the convertible. Is there another manufacturer making a set specific for the verts, or is there a brand / set more likely to keep the drop at an inch?

Thanks!

I went with adjustable coil overs on my car. I like them because you set the height you want with out sacrificing the ride quality. Not exactly the answer you were looking for, but I thought I'd share.

I agree with Bowtie-Bri, coilovers are the best, but pretty expensive. As for the Hotchkis lowering springs for the convertible, you can still get them and they are relatively inexpensive. I got mine from Phastek. It says that they are discontinued but those are the very same springs that I purchased from them.

Divorced, and on a budget. I went with the springs. Thanks again to both of you for the advice, and for the links bwk1971.

Congratulations! By the way, just throwing this out there, if you went with Phastek, I hope you used the "Welcome5" coupon code for an additional discount. Good Luck!

Are you certain Hotchkis isn't making their springs anymore? I just bought mine last Summer. They ride great and handle even better.

I wish I had saved some money and spent the extra on coil overs for the flexibility and better handling. I did springs and sways which are ok but coil overs are the ticket.

I tried to buy them from Phastek. Even though the website has them listed they are not in stock, and won't be getting any more. VR Speed's site claims they are in stock so I just put an order in with them. Hopefully they are truly in stock!

Thanks again!

Oh, and no, I did not use the "welcome5" with Phastek... I guess I'll have to browse their site a little bit to see if there's room for anything else in the budget!

Honestly, How is the Ride?

I would like to drop my car 1in but I do not want to sacrifice my ride at all! This car is great on the highway and I don't want a bumpy ride if it was due to lowering.

Call JDP Motorsports and talk to Tyler. Hotchkiss 1" springs was the first mod I did less than a month after buying. The ride isn't bad at all. You will forget about that mushy OEM ride after a week. I love the look and ride and could not live with the stock ride height.

Is it possible o install the 1LE suspension package? Will the dealer do it or are they not allowed to install that on a 'vert?
