Xpel rules, love it and I did mine right away. Not a chip to be found anywhere on my car. The gill area is a must.

It all depends on the Brand and Installer used. Xpel Ultimate is self healing so scratches won't be an issue.
Watch this self healing demo by Xpel:

If you can see the lines the install is horrible. I had it on my 2010 and currently have it on my Z and you'd be hard pressed to find the seams. Remember you get what you pay for. Xpel is also self healing so scratches and chips actually mend themselves.

It is only worth it if you drive the car. Otherwise, skip it.

P.S. You could do better on the price.

The workmanship is guaranteed for 10 years and the film has a life time warranty on it.
The place i'm going to is in syracuse, NY...if I do a google search on them I can't really find to much on them, so If anyone has experience with them please post?
They say that they stand behind there product 100 percent and gaurantee i will love it...
So my question is this: Do you feel the protective films are worth the cost?
Are they a great alternative to getting rock chips/blemishes?
Basically looking for people's experiences with this company or the others you may have gone with?
Pros/cons? Should I do this??????????????

I don't even own that car anymore... I did however get that one xpeled and my current ZL1 as well. So glad I did both. My current ride definitely has better workmanship then my first 1LE did.

If you think $1000 is bad, LOL, come here to my area. Got Xpel ultimate all up front and over gills, $2000.

Can't really call a price high unless you know exactly how much is being covered. Full front end wraps can easily be $2k+ for a good job with good film. IE, not a precut kit.

Yes its worth it. But I'm in this industry and never heard of this film.... I'd go with Clear Guard X or Clear Guard Nano if its available near you. If not, then Suntek or Xpel.

Always wondered about these and vinyl stripes...so far no one's given me a straight answer...

But still if one isn't concerned about minor stuff like that, these do seem the logical thing to do.

Change them every 3-4 years or so when one notices yellowing...
Paint will "fade" if you don't take care of it....

However, PPF does not contain UV blockers for this very reason. Which is also why PPF has to be maintained. Don't maintain it, and don't expect it to last 5+ years.

They say this stuff has come so far in quality that you hardly know it's even there unless you get right up on it.
Ziebart says everything is uniformed and match to the car, everything is cut using computer imaging and for example There is not 5 or 6 pieces to do a Hood like some have claimed but rather just 2 that uniform perfectly to the front fascia...

Yep just convinced myself , I'm definitely getting it!!

Also I have recently learned of diamond protection for the paint. They say you never have to Wax your car again if you get this, this is also something I have to do more research on.
So if anyone knows about this stuff and whether it's worth it or not please post!
Diamond protection? LOL.

Look into (really research) CQuartz Finest and Opti-Coat Pro. If someone installs these make sure you see "Finest" with CQuartz and "Pro" with Opti-Coat. If you don't see that in their stuff, walk away.
