2018 F150 Updates
http://www.trucktrend.com/news/1701-...oit-auto-show/
Diesel Updated engines 10 speed across the line except for base engine Updated exterior and interior New features I think the look is an improvement. So is GM readying a new generation for 2018?

T1XX trucks should be out by late next year.

I had seen all the rumors of the Diesel F-150 but not going to lie I am kind of shocked that they did it.
Also glad to see they updated the 5.0 as well. |

Are you just assuming those are the changes, where does it say DI/PI in regards to the 5.0 in the article?
All i see is this: "Speaking of, Ford didn’t go into detail regarding its sole V-8 engine in the F-150 lineup except to say it would see improvements for 2018. The company promised significantly more power and torque, elevating it above the 385 hp and 387 lb-ft currently offered in the 2017 F-150. As with the EcoBoost and Power Stroke engines, the 5.0L V-8 receives a 10-speed automatic transmission for 2018." And this: "Furthermore, Ford will offer the 2018 F-150 with a second-generation 2.7L EcoBoost V-6 that features both port and direct fuel injection to optimize power, efficiency, and emissions. Using lessons learned on the second-generation 3.5L EcoBoost, the 2.7 will also offer reduced internal friction and improved durability. We also presume more power will be on offer, giving the new EcoBoost at least 325 hp and 375 lb-ft. Those numbers should offer lifestyle consumers enough capability without asking them to step into either the 3.5L EcoBoost or naturally aspirated 5.0L V-8." |

Looks like I may be trading in my '13 FX4 SuperCrew. Too many great looking updates to ignore this time around.
This is one hell of an MCE.

I like my truck overall.. Build quality is lacking though. Wouldn't have minded an updated 5.0.

This just makes me realize how ugly the Silverado is. The Sierra does look better, but IMO the last gen GM's looked better then the current ones. The F-150 definitely has the Silverado beat in looks (not that any pick up really looks good as they are technically suppose to be "tools").

Glad they are still paying any attention at all to the V8.

I see they kept the "military grade" aluminum bed that gets holes in it by doing extreme things like actually using it to haul stuff. Lol The term "military grade" is a joke anyway.
Hopefully they are better than the POS 2016 explorer interceptor I got in August. What I wouldn't do for a Tahoe. |
