painted V Calipers

I just finished my "V" calipers using the Duplicolor kit that is similar to the G2 paint system. I think the results are good with one complaint. The paint brush seems to leave lines as you are painting but they seem to still turned out good. I also used stickers from Ebay to try and retain that factory look. What do you guys think?

They Should look awesome with my new wheels...

Thanks! It is possible that I did something wrong or maybe the G2 kit is better, but I just wanted to give it a try.

I thought heavier coats of that stuff were supposed to be self leveling to remove brush strokes. Otherwise you could sand and polish them but since you already did the stickers thats not an option.

I'd just leave it until it starts to chip and then powdercoat them. You have to remember you're staring at them from a foot away with a critical eye. Once they're mounted you'll be looking from 5' away so it won't really be noticeable. Although I'm OCD too and it drives me nuts knowing something only I would notice isn't quite right.

Run a few more laps and the brake color won't matter.

You're probably right, but my car is mostly daily driver and only sees the track maybe once a month. So it may last a little longer

How many coats did you do? Perhaps its just the camera but they look kind of dull/flat? I used the Duplicolor kit on my stock Brembos (did 4-5 coats each) and I was shocked at how good they turned out...no brush lines at all. In fact Most people think that I had them powder-coated. They're super glossy and smooth. Like you, I added the decals for a more finished/stock appearance.

Regardless, they turned out 10x's better than a rattle-can job (which I've done on 8-9 past vehicles)

I put on about 3 coats. They are very glossy, must be the camera.
