Isopropyl Alcohol is more commonly labeled 'rubbing alcohol' at the local store. Target, Walmart, and pretty much any place like walgreens, CVS, etc will carry some form of it. Most common is going to be at a 70% dilution already.
Avoid the scented and dyed ones... you don't need a mint scented green alcohol to strip sealant/wax. Take the alcohol and cut with clean water in a spray bottle 1:1 or 2:1 - spray on a clean panel, wipe with a clean microfiber towel... VIOLA! Your panel has been stripped. |

it doesn't strip wax.... and if you don't believe me test it for yourself. Any quality wax will stay on after IPA wipedown. Rinse the area you wiped down with IPA real well with water and you will see the same beading and sheeting characteristics arise as an area that you have not used a IPA wipedown... indicating that the wipedown has essentially done nothing.
Isopropanol is a moderately polar solvent, and waxes are for the most part very non-polar. Waxes do not easily dissolve in the isopropanol meaning that doing a IPA wipedown is not taking off the wax. As you may have heard in chemistry, "like dissolves like." IPA wipedowns are great at removing polishing oils however and prepping a surface to be oil free.

When hopslam comes out it is like a national holiday for me. I buy five cases at least, I am a giant beer snob and hopslam is like the holy grail of beers IMHO.
Sorry for the off topic |

I bought 4 cases last year. Gotta drink them fast though, IPAs don't age the best.
I just found a single one hidden in the back of the fridge last night. WIN! /threadjack |

I LOVE Bell's Hopslam! I'm also a huge Dogfish IPA fan. Note for the OP, these beers contain "ethyl" alcohol, not "isopropyl" so don't strip your wax with them.

I still have about 15 left from last January are they as good as they were nine months ago no but they are still darn tasty. Every year this beer gets more hyped and goes faster and faster off the store shelves. I am lucky to have a local brewer called surly brewers they have a beer called abrasive that is a double IPA that is fabulous if you can find it in your neck of the woods give it a try you will not be disappointed.
