I was really sold on hyper blue. But, there is just something special for me about a white car with tinted windows and black wheels - even if it's a played out fad.

So, white hit the order sheet.

Didn't vote in the poll yet as I have not ordered yet. Thinking of waiting on the 50 Anniversary editions in 2017.

Color choices for me right now are Summit White or Blue Velvet Metallic. Also want to see the Mosaic Black Metallic in person before making a final choice. All of this goes out the window if they have an Orange for 2017, though.

Don't get defensive because it's your favorite color. I said right in my post that it wasn't a logical thought.

I will say, however, that the fact that white was the most popular color doesn't make my thought incorrect. You have to remember that as someone that goes out of the way to order a car, you are in the vast minority of car buyers.

Most people just buy what they can get the best deal on at the car lot. If the production numbers show that white was produced more than any other color, maybe the best deal to be had is on a white car because there are more of them, and therefore, more left over when the specials come around.

I could absolutely be wrong, but then again, there's no way to prove it unless we start surveying the general public to ask why they bought a white car. As I said before, every single person I know that bought a white car, did so because a better deal was available on it, not because it was their first color choice. You have to remember that most people are willing to sacrifice on nearly everything on their wish list if the deal is right when it comes to cars.

On the white subject I have worked in the car business have a bestfriend that has an awesome body shop. There are surveys on this. White is not left over. White silver and black are normally the most colors sold. Personally I like blue in a sports car. I ordered hyper metallic blue. Colors sold also depends on type of vehicle and age bracket. Although White is definitely any easier car to keep up and maintain. Red and dark colors are the worst. Here in Florida red cars are horrible as the sun eats them alive if not garaged or kept up meticulously. Silver and pearl is very hard to blend correctly and need an artist to do it right. Black is right up there too. Not trying to argue just what my 2 cents are worth 0 in 2 months from now.

I also think GM is the only one who makes yellow look good on a car... the one on Mustang is absolutely hidious...

I appreciate the input. If there is data on consumers preferring white cars, then I'm wrong, it's as simple as that. It does make sense that gray scale cars are the most popular. A lot of cars looks good in those colors, and can be striking while still being understated.

My order has supposedly been submitted so I voted for Hyper Blue.
With white interior.

Blue Velvet should be replaced by a nice burnt orange.

It's a dumb thought, but everyone I know that has/had a white car, bought that color because it was cheaper than the same model in other colors.
I think your actually 100% wrong. The last 3 cars I bought were white and all 3 dealers said white is too popular and "if we can locate the car we can't guarantee the same pricing"

I was really torn about getting the ceramic white seats but since it's going to be a daily driver car, I thought the jet black would hold up better to the wear and tear, so that's what I ended up going with. Still not sure I made the right choice though....

blue velvet has 1 vote.. hyper blue is very popular, and you don't need 2 blues. I think replacing blue velvet with orange would be a really good idea.

No one here might have silver but I'm sure more silver will be sold than blue velvet.

Im really shocked there are 0 Silver orders here. That was my 2nd choice. I wonder if Silver is too reminiscent of the 5th Gen with the earliest concept and most popular image being a Silver car? Since the 5th and 6th do look quite similar, the Silver appears "played out" to some of us?
