What is everyone doing with their low mileage stock tires?
So....long story short. REALLY interested in the new 1LE style replicas that MRR will be producing, but their first runs will only include 10 and 11 inch wide wheels.
I want to stick with the stock tires. The rear 275 will fit on the 10 nicely, but the front 245 will definitely not. Its not that I have some preference for the stock tires or whatever, but I just don't need a better tire, nor do I want to spend the extra $$$, and honestly, the run flat feature is kind of nice. So now I'm stuck with either waiting (who knows how long) until their 9" version comes along, or pony up another 600 - 700 dollars for two front tires. I don't want to do that at all. But if I could get several hundred out of my front stockers, then I may change my mind. - Anyone have any luck selling their stock tires? - Will a company take my low mileage tires and maybe I can through a little cash on top to get new? (say 1,000 to 1,500 miles) - Anyone have experience shipping tires? Thanks.

I've had stock tires for sale on this forum since early January without a single response. I have them at a pretty low price, too. Maybe after a year or two, as the car ages and people put more miles on it, there will be more of a demand. Good luck!

I agree with Daverom. Not a whole lotta demand for the stock tires for now. Once people are needing to replace their stock tires due to treadlife or accident/nails (hopefully not the second part) is when it'll probably be easier to sell. Another thing is, I had full on winter tires for sale since December... No one even bothered but yet people complained that there were no winter tires... Go figure.

Appreciate the responses. Just disappointed they aren't offering something that can fit the front stock tires sooner. Dropping an extra 600 - 700 dollars when I don't really need or want to is a real kick in the nuts.

My suggestion is to look for other cars that use our tire size...first one that comes to mind are some BMWs...go on their forum and sell them.

I'm using my rears like drag radials until there worn out then I'll change them out to a 305-35 on a 10" wheel with 9's up front and probably a 265-35

Did you sell them? And how much do you want for them if you still have them?
