Well, since i just kinda pop in and out. Heres a small update. Got the camaro ready, raced once at my local track. Did good, 3 consistent passes and the only issue was header bolts coming loose, which is normal.
Drug it 275 miles to a track near the Iowa border, made 4 great passes, going rounds in my class. Then when i made my 5th pass of the day it went good til i let off the throttle at the end of the track, it sounded like spoons in a blender.
Zero oil pressure, and could barely get the car out of gear. Looked under the car to discover a broken transmission bellhousing. Number 6 since i owned the car. I brought it home and tore it apart to inspect the damage, the brand new transmission i had just had built to the tune of $1100 is now trash, luckily i got the motor shut down in time and only have to do new bearings and a cam.

The bad news is, after 6 years, 2 motors, and 7 transmissions, enough was enough. I sold my beloved hot rod and first car. So I no longer own a camaro and have picked up another project drag car. One of these days id like to get ahold of another camaro as just a driver though.

So the car made 570 max. But the final safe tune is 560.

I don't think I'm done. A bigger cam is probably in order soon. I need to hit that 600+ mark. Well, after a clutch, wheels and coilovers of course.

What cam are you thinking next? BTR? GP Tuning?

Took girlfriend to track to WATCH.

Apparently my 350z now belongs to her, and shes already looking at putting the turbo kit I've had sitting around on it.
