How crazy is that!!! someone there to help you and you shoot them. All I have to say is he was crazy! sick minds, you cannot explain it. That poor family, I am sure they never thought he would get shot while volunteering.

Wow. Sorry for the firefighter...but glad he will make it. If you do not want to be shot by the police...do not point things that shoot bullets at them. Pretty simple rule in life. Seems like the guy in the truck was on something or demented to hit a light pole, continue as far as he did in a smashed truck...then start shooting at people trying to help him. Odd situation all around.

Wow what a nut job, firing on a member of the fire department who was only trying to help him!! I grew up in Bellmore and this story really hits home. My prayers are with the EMT I hope he is going to be ok. Sounds like the Nassau County Police did an awesome job of stopping this nut from hurting anyone else.
They said he more guns with him, wonder if he crashed his truck on purpose to lure the fire department and police to him. He probably wanted to go out in a blaze of bullets. It's sick out there and getting sicker. |

being a cop in the city there are alot of questions unanswered like what was the guy doing while it took the cops several mins to get there and what made the cops shoot him, all questions that should remain unanswered as justice was served! nice job nassau county pd
