SC and Upgraded Intake manifold?
Im running a boosted 5th gen SS M6 and would like to know if there are any benefits of replacing my stock intake manifold? I love the look of the Holly High Rise one but dont love it enough if it will not give me much of a performance advantage for its price tag. Thanks all in advance for your guidance!

What blower you running ? And more importantly what cam , stock manifold is all you need up to 6200 rpm from what I've read

Richard holder has done several test on this subject. The ls3 intake is really good its until you start turning 7000 plus rpm and 20 plus psi. When you may want to switch to high ram for strength and tad shorter runner. And you can run sandwich style intercooler which are nice.

With a stock cam I wouldn't think about intake manifolds unless it was the stock rod-mod. Get a nice centri cam, you'll pick up a good amount.

Save up longer and do a cam , really your best option in your build right now

Likes of a FAST intake would see some gains, but really you'd want to change camshaft either way. RH has done so many tests showing even fairly mild cams, yield big gains on an LS. Also doubtful E85 will yield big gains either on such a mild build. But if it's readily available, assuming not expensive, no harm in using it of course and will have a wider tuning window for whoever is tuning it |
