Anyone lower their 1LE and regret it

I got a set of BMR 1" lowering springs and have not put them on yet, I saw in another forum where people were complaining about a pop or clunking sound after lowering their camaro's with a few different springs including BMR. Anime have any advice or input? THANKS

My thought is that if you lower it, go with a track proven solution. Pete from Pedders says that the 1LE is so good stock, don't bother lowering it unless you're going with high end coilovers. My plan is in two stages:

1. Pedders 1LE Permagrin package (32 rear sway to reduce understeer, plus a few key bushings)
2. Pedders Supercar coilovers.

I'm debating whether to do them both at the same time and be done with it.

I may run this setup with the stock 1LE tires and wheels, still researching before deciding. R compounds and Hoosiers wear out too fast for my taste.

I should add that I lowered a Challenger SRT8 and it handled worse after lowering. So now I carefully do the research first. Pedders and Lingenfelter teamed to create the L/28, which has just kicked ass on the track. So that's the direction I'm going with my suspension mods.

That's exactly what I was wanting, just to close the gap up a little bit. The thread I was reading a guy said his pfadts were doing the same thing. On the other hand though there is 100's of people who have lowered and not had any problems.... Think I will just lower mine and keep my springs and if I get any unusual noise I will put the stock springs back on.

I lowered my 2LT and even though I loved the look and how it hugged the curves a little better, it sucked when it came to bumps and my slanted driveway. I scraped my gfx alot. I dont think we are going to lower the 1LE since I have already scrapped the splitter backing into my driveway.

I love my PFADS 1.25" lowering springs

They handle great and they don't clunk.

I'm in the same boat as several others. I bought a ton of mods waiting on the 1LE to arrive, many mods have been done since then but I'm still holding out on the 1" BMR springs. They set in the box in the garage with some other mods that are due to be installed but I'm just on the bubble if they will get installed or not.

Like said above already. I can always swap them back out if I don't care for them.

That's the set up on my car and I love it ! It handles amazing , ride is great, it's a little stiffer don't get me wrong but I'm use to that and it's how I prefer it.

Do you have any side shots of your car? I plan on doing the same with the rear.

FYI, Coilovers and lowering springs are very very different products. Do your research. I have and only will buy coilovers.
