Is GM taking notice of the dealer issues???
The sales process of the new Camaro has put the spotlight on how some dealers have not and are not using the information provided to them by GM to both educate the public AND fill orders.
It shows me that the lack of process by dealers to become familiar with the Camaro must also occur with any other product GM is trying to sell. This can only mean loss of sales to the competition. Will GM take this information and use it to improve how dealers are selling cars? If you want to sell cars GM, this is one spot that needs work!

I say remove their allocation because those are the price gougers and set allocation to all dealers who are actively pursuing a positive outcome from this vehicle as opposed to one big hit with one idiot that pays 50k....
or hell, give all allocation to scotty. |

I agree. I believe CamaroScotty has sold out of allotment already. GM needs to re-design the allotment process to reward those dealerships who outperform the others.
Dealerships who move product the fastest are the one's who should be rewarded. Does GM want to move product or not? They should penalize dealers who sit on something just so they can make a killing. Marketing wise for the Camaro, we need to have as many hot looking Camaros running around on the streets in the spring/summer as possible. Not lot cars that are often less than desireable because a bonehead chose the options/color combos instead of an enthusiast.

I think SOMEONE may be stopping by to explain GM's position.

That's part of the problem - SOMEONE won't be doing anything about this because nobody realizes the impact it has to sales.
