Just added one this week, too.

Install is quick. Just drill one hole in the vent ducting to get the wires through, and the kit provides putty to seal around it. Hardest part was getting the stock vent out. That darn thing is really in there! Oh, and I had to wrap one wrap of masking tape around the gauge body to tighten the fit on mine, too.

It was even quicker for me, since jayno20 had already drilled the necessary hole when he owned the car. Lol

Yeah, I looked into the Autometer DashControl for the HUD as well, but I couldn't pass up the deal I scored on the Aeroforce and Aeroforce gauge pod.

Both are great ways for monitoring the car though.
LOL Yeah ended up sticking with the Autometer Unit along with an Innovate LC-2Wideband for the HUD. Like being able to Program in Warnings and Text like Shift Dumbass and don't know whose ZL1 this is, but lmao. Was sold after seeing this one:
