Well done. 1500+ views on a subforum feels like a lot of interest to me. We love our cars and we're willing to spend the money on a solid product.

Well, there you go. D3 has been hanging their SC kit in front of the noses of the CTS guys for almost three years. If they can tune now, I don't understand what is taking them so long to bring this thing to market. And some are asking why I don't think highly of D3...

Silly question following.. Why would any company move to direct injection as a base technology for their engines?

Ford is able to produce about the same power per cube, with about the same fuel economy with "older" technology. It really peeves me off that the ford guys can crank out 475p in a heart beat while we are left holding ourselves wondering what to do with this "better" technology.

Its more to do with the fact that outside of Trifecta everyone else has had issues working with the Bosch ECM than the engine technology getting in the way.

I am not sure about Ford's new V6, but if you look at the "new" 5.0, it does not have as flat of a torque curve as the LS3. The GT is faster than the SS on a track, but more shifting is required in daily driving. (and don't even get me started on the solid axle) I rarely use 1st or 3rd, and 5th and 6th can keep me going in all but the slowest traffic.

Trust me, there's more to life than peak horsepower.

As for DI, I think it's great for no other reason than high performance engines don't need premium fuel anymore.

also, "older" technology; a pushrod engine is easy and cheap to maintain and fix. I know a lot of guys who mod LSx engines in their garage. I don't really know any AMG or M guys, but I highly doubt they can say the same.

I have been trying to keep an eye on this forum, but I have been really busy. I just sent a text to see whats up with the Supercharger. My boy told me there were a few people that they talked to, but nothing solid yet. Someone needs to step up and let them use a car to get this done.

I'm going overthere later this week. I'll talk to them in person to see whats up.

Cool! The more they hear from us the more likely they will do something. These guys could corner the market with very little additional investment in the product they already have. Good luck man!

Any update on whether anyone is heading to Signal Hill to talk to D3?

I might have had enough disposable income to play with a supercharger project, but I didn't wanna blow my wad or deal with cost overruns.....so, I bought wheels and tires instead.

I am probably going to back out. . . Someone with disposable income and who lives in Cali should talk with them. . . They are offering the kit to the "mule car" for 5k which includes install and parts and tune. . .

personally if my car is going to be a mule and going to be down for a couple months to get it fitted i feel like i should be given the kit for next to nothing. . .

They dont seem 2 worried about tuning it. . . i imagine they will figure that out when they have the car. . . bunch of great guys tho. If someone doesnt mind paying them that then i say go right ahead. . .
