Thought I'd share my New MT 28" radials I received yesterday. Here you go! Now the WELD wheels wait begins.... May 7th couldn't get here any faster.

Also, found a GREAT place to purchase complete set from and best pricing anywhere I've seen even with the group buys. PM me if you want more info on where and who.

Don't quote me but I believe the price on these were just under $190 each with free shipping and no tax.. Received them 3 days later from order

While I'm posting the weight thought I'd show the M&H 325 as well. Also, the other 2 tires were within an ounce of each other..

Could you do us a solid and report what the max load rating will be? It should be on the side of the tire. Thanks.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 28x6.00R17 front runner Radial

MAX LOAD 1175 LBS at 50 PSI COLD

And the BORN on DATE was the 9th week of 2014 just in case anyone wanted to know when manufactured..

I had the max psi cold incorrect for these front runners. It says 50. NOT 60. Although still high I just wanted to correct. I'll post installed pics later.

So basically you're going to be running these at 55-60 psi all the time?

Probably 60! lol I don't know.. I'll see how they feel and start smart. Not sure why such a low load rating but not gonna lose too much sleep over it. I'll post some pics when mounted on the car at couple different psi ranges if anyone wants?

So what you wise old men are saying is that the load rating is kinda low for our cars... Interesting.

Weight ratings aren't fiqured like that.......its stacic weight on a scale...if you put thr front axle on a scale and your 1lb under your going to be perfectly fine. No matter if you're parked..accelerateing..or slamming on the brakes.

I asked Jason Moulton (works for MT) on YB:

Quote:
For front runners, if you have a tire with load ratings of:

MAX LOAD 1175 LBS at 60 PSI COLD

Is that per tire? And for a front runner its a tire I would drive around on at 35-40 psi not 60. This is a radial front runner by the way. And I'm probably 3870 raceweight.
Quote:
Yes - that is per tire. The air pressure is needed to carry the load. For street driving, is is critcal. Underinflated/overloaded for an extended period can lead to tire failure.

For you application - yes - I would run it closer to 60 PSI on the street.

Thanks,

Jason Moulton
